The Hallmark drama series When Calls the Heart has its share of couples who could be tying the knot. And yet the question of who gets married in When Calls the Heart Season 11 is still not as easy to answer as it should be. But fans know there will indeed be one, as co-creator Brian Bird confirmed one was coming during an interview on Heart to Hearties with showrunner Lindsay Sturman.
“There’s going to be a wedding in season 11,” Bird said. “I’m not going to say what it is or who’s getting married, but there’s going to be another wedding in Hope Valley. How about that? I’m looking forward to that.”
Which Couples Could Be Getting Married in When Calls the Heart Season 11?
When Calls the Heart follows Elizabeth Thatcher, a young teacher accustomed to high-society life who receives her first classroom assignment in the town of Coal Valley (now Hope Valley), and learns to not only adjust but love small-town life. The show is based on Janette Oke’s novel.

Elizabeth has gone through ups and downs since she first came to the town. She met a Mountie, Jack, fell in love, and eventually married. Jack is later killed – and Elizabeth, who later discovers she’s pregnant, gives birth to their son, Jack Jr. Later, she ends up in the middle of a love triangle between two men, Nathan and Lucas.
She ends up picking Lucas, and even got engaged to him, but later broke off the engagement after realizing she’d chose him only because he was comfortable. Later on, she rekindled her friendship with Nathan. It is, however, just friendship though for now, even if it’s slowly moving into something else, so it feels a little too early to jump into marriage. Not impossible, but still probably not the right call for the show’s main character. Particularly on a show Hallmark presumably wants on the air for a few more seasons.
There are, of course, other options. The most obvious one involves Mike and Mei. They only admitted they liked each other at the Election Day celebration in Season 10, so it hasn’t even been that long, but it’s not like any couple on When Calls the Heart looks ready for marriage at this point.
Whoever does get married is going to be a wildcard. So, these two seem like the most obvious choice. They have at least been together for some time and though it would be somewhat rushed, they seem to complement each other well and have the foundation for a happy marriage. And, they would bring the entire town together to celebrate them!

“I think it’s Mei and Mike because in an interview with Deidre Berhar (sp), in Sunday’s episode, Mike’s whole family is coming to town so that Mei can meet them and make dinner for them. Because they’re already in town, maybe they spontaneously decide to get married,” a fan speculated on Reddit.
Of course, the show could really go for shocking – and fans have thrown some really wild theories out there, with some speculating that the wedding could be Lucas and Jeanette or that Carson could return to marry Faith. When Calls the Heart does love to end its seasons on a cliffhanger, but are they willing to go that big on a cliffhanger, considering the show isn’t likely to return for about a year? Probably not. Chances are we are getting a wedding, and then another kind of cliffhanger. So, whoever is getting married, we will know. Time to place our bets.
