University Park, PA (WJAC) — Penn State officials say they're mourning the loss of a student who was killed in a Colorado skiing accident this past weekend.
Twenty-two-year-old Nick Feinstein was skiing with his father, Andy, when they were trapped by an avalanche Saturday, according to a report from the Greeley Tribune.
In a statement to 6 News, university officials said their hearts go out to the Feinstein family and those who knew them.
Officials say Nick Feinstein was a sixth semester student majoring in enterprise technology integration.
Leaders of Penn State Student Affairs are reaching out to offer support for his family and friends.
Editor's note: An original version of this story misreported that the student's father was also killed in the avalanche.
