PSU student killed in avalanche in Colorado

Penn State officials say they're mourning the loss of a student who was killed in a Colorado skiing accident this past weekend.

Twenty-two-year-old Nick Feinstein was skiing with his father, Andy, when they were trapped by an avalanche Saturday, according to a report from the Greeley Tribune.

In a statement to 6 News, university officials said their hearts go out to the Feinstein family and those who knew them.

Officials say Nick Feinstein was a sixth semester student majoring in enterprise technology integration.

Leaders of Penn State Student Affairs are reaching out to offer support for his family and friends.

Sadly, we learned Tuesday of Nicholas’ tragic accident and passing. During this time of great sorrow, our hearts go out to his family and all who knew him. Nick, 22, was a 6th semester student in the College of Information, Sciences and Technology where he was majoring in enterprise technology integration. Leaders of Penn State Student Affairs are reaching out to offer support to his family and friends.
