BIOGRAPHY
Jeanne Goursaud was born in 1996, in Pinneberg in Germany, to a French father and a German mother. Despite this dual nationality, she grew up in her native country where she completed all her schooling. Passionate about comedy, she took theater lessons from the age of twelve in a drama school for children, from which she left when she came of age.
It was during her apprenticeship that Jeanne Goursaud took her first steps in the world of audiovisual. First the face of a brand of cosmetics from the Johnson & Johnson subsidiary , she became familiar with cameras before landing her first acting contract. Then aged sixteen, she appeared in Die Pfefferkörner , a local series which recounts the fight of adolescents against delinquency. A first enriching experience for the young girl which unfortunately was not enough to get her career off the ground. Two years later, in 2014, Jeanne Goursaud managed to make herself known to German audiences by starring in the second season of the German-Australian program In Your Dreams, which exploits the inner conflict felt by some children, forced to choose between their loyalty to their family and their own dreams. From then on, Jeanne Goursaud obtained many other opportunities, particularly on television. In the years that followed, she notably had the opportunity to play a student from a problem high school in Der Lehrer , a teenager confronted with a mysterious application in Wishlist , and an investigator in the television films Tout la vérité , as well as as in the detective series Hubert und Staller .
On the cinema side, the young actress is particularly known for having played a role in Bullyparade – Le Film alongside comedian Michael Herbig . This film takes up the concept of a very popular German show parodying science fiction series. In 2018, she also appeared in an American production: Le 15h17 pour Paris , a drama directed by Clint Eastwood and centered on the Thalys train attack which occurred in 2015.
The year 2020 is a consecration for Jeanne Goursaud who finally makes herself known internationally in Barbares , a Netflix production. This historical series, which looks back on the events leading to the famous Battle of the Teutoburg Forest, relates the conflicting relations of the time between the Romans and the Germans. The actress lends her features to Thusnelda, daughter of a Germanic tribal chief, as strong as she is determined. Thanks to its similarities with the famous series Vikings and The Last Kingdom , added to the popularity of the platform, the program quickly gained notoriety and Jeanne Goursaud too.
The same year, she was also in the main cast of Para – We Are King , a German series which follows the daily life of four women in search of happiness. Manon Maroufi
